TTBS -- The Red Light District Of The Toon World

About TTBS
English (USA)

Welcome to the TTBS mailing list at AcmeLabs.com!

This list is dedicated to the creation and discussion of cartoon
characters on a more "adult" level than is permissable in most other
circles.

By adult we mean Erotic, Spooge, or whatever else your poison is! >:)

The name TTBS is derived from an old conversation carried out on the
newsgroup alt.tv.tiny-toon.fandom, and it stands for "Tiny Toon Bar Soap"

TTBS is used as the acronym for any toon material that involves the use of
cartoon characters in a romantic and / or sexual manner. It should be
noted that a story or script with sex between the toons does not
necessarily dictate that the story is a TTBS story, for different reasons.

It's pretty much "anything goes" on this list, with a few limitations more
based on list harmony than subject :)

The list is moderated and maintained by two enthusiactic furverts;
Dennis Hurst
Calamity Coyote

Most questions regard this list can be directed to them regarding
contents and acceptable usage not outlined in this welcome message.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USAGE

I) If you know anyone who wants to join the list, simply tell them
to email calamity@acmelabs.com and ask to be put on the list.

II) Once you are a member of this list, all mails should be sent to
ttbs@acmelabs.com to be districuted to the list.
Returned mail will have the keyword TTBS inserted into the
subject

Only email addresses subscribed to the list may send messages to the
list. If you have another email address you need to be able to post
messages from, it can be arranged by contacting calamity@acmelabs.com
and explaining this.

III) If you leave an email address, or let an account lapse, please let
calamity@acmelabs.com know about it, so he can take you off the list.

ACCEPTABLE USAGE POLICY

1) Mails sent to this list should be in simple ASCII text format.
Please don't attach MIME, Binhex, or UU-Encoded documents to your
mails, as although you can read 'em fine, there is no guarantee that
other list members can do so. One example is Micro$oft Outlook. This
program defaults to sending email as HTML attachments. If you have this
program, be sure to change the options so it sends in plain-text
format.

This rule also applies if you are using a web browser to send EMails.
It should be possible to turn of HTML encoding of EMail messages that
these programs love so much. They may look pretty on your machine,
but the chances are it will look awful on someone else's, or may not
display at all.

Plain text is best, and is suitable for all!

2) Fan Fiction and Fan Art must NOT be sent directly to the list. The
main reason this is that it takes up considerable bandwidth to send out the same looooong EMail to everyone on this list. Another reason not to
do this is the fact that many people on this list have a limited amount
of space for email on the server. If you send large emails, it could
cause them to exceed their space limit and have all further emails sent
to them be rejected until they notice it.

The proper way to distribute stories and art to the list is to upload
them to the /incoming directory at ftp.acmelabs.com, then send an email
to calamity@acmelabs.com letting him know what you uploaded, and if it
belongs in the general (G/PG) archives, or the restricted (R/X)
archives.

The restricted archives at ftp.acmelabs.com is the "official" FTP site
of the TTBS list. Anyone wanting access to these archives should
contact calamity@acmelabs.com and ask for access.

3) Basically, anything goes when it comes to subject matter on this list;
feel free to let your feeelthy little minds run riot! There _will_
be a limit though, and the moderators will let you know when it is
reached.

4) Messages sent to this list must be in no way abusive to other list members. Anyone who uses the list for this purpose faces having their
account terminated.

5) Along similar lines, flaming and off-topic messages are not encouraged.
If a operator feels that a subject thread is getting out of hand, they
reserve the right to ask for the subject to be dropped and taken to
private email only. Failure to adhere to this rule will in most cases
result in the same outcome as rule 4.

6) Spamming of the list will result in IMMEDIATE termination of the
spammer's account

7) If you are going to be changing your account, or wish to leave the
list, please follow instruction III in the previous section. If
nothing else, it is just common courtesy, and saves sending mails to
non-existant accounts.

These rules may seem a little rigid, but they are in place to make this
mailing list a happier (and more functional) place to be!

If you have any other queries, get in touch with myself, Dennis H or Calamity C, and we'll try and help you out.
